Halifax's Gloryhound

Pure rock from Halifax, and I was able to catch them at the Mansion.  Great Canadian east coast rock at it's best making it's way through Ontario.  If you get a chance, check them out and download their album(www.gloryhoundband.com), especially the single TKO Tokyo.  Enjoy the shots from their show.

Lets Get Up to Date... Music, Music...

OK, so I've been slacking when it comes to updating this blog.  I'm not even sure if anyone takes the time to look at it, but I'll update it anyways.  I've photographed a lot of bands lately that come through the doors of the Mansion here in Kingston.  So this update will be all about the music.

First off will be a new band who has hit the scene hard, and are featured in the next edition of Canadian Musician, their name, Courage My Love, and I had the opportunity to photograph and meet them.  What a talented group consisting of two 19 year old twin girls, Mercedes and Pheonix Arn-Horn and on Bass Brandon Lockwood.


Secondly is another outstanding band to walk through the doors, are the guys of Autumns Cannon.  I picked up their album after the show and, its pretty fantastic.  Part of it was recorded here at the local Bathhouse Recording Studio, founded by the boys from the Tragically Hip.  If you get a chance, check out Autumns Cannon.

So far this summer of music at the Mansion has been one hell of a ride.  Next to come, Gloryhound, and Time Giant.

Rachael and Mike - Married

Rachael and I spoke only weeks before her wedding day, and from the first email I knew it was going to be a laid back fun wedding to photograph, and it was.  What a fun loving couple with a large family and large hearts.  They made me feel welcome form first hello's.  They had a fantastic church to be exchange their vows in, and a nice little park for photos.  Well without boring you with words, Thank you Rachael and Mike for allowing me to photograph your wedding day!  Congratulations!
